01Introduction
IChannel Technologies ("we", "us") is a digital agency registered in Ibadan, Nigeria. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit ichanneltech.com or engage us as a client, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
We try to keep this document short and plain. If anything is unclear, email [email protected] and a human will write back.
02What we collect
We only collect what we need to operate the site and respond to enquiries. In practice that is:
- Information you give us — your name, email and message when you fill out the contact form, schedule a call, or subscribe to the newsletter.
- Information collected automatically — anonymised page views, device type, referrer, and approximate location (country / region) from your IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 4.
We do not run ad networks, profile visitors across sites, or sell personal data to third parties. Ever.
03How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Reply to your message and schedule follow-up calls.
- Send you the newsletter you opted in to — with a one-click unsubscribe in every issue.
- Understand which pages are useful so we can improve them.
- Protect the site from spam and abuse.
We never use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
04Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies and localStorage entries, all first-party:
- ic-theme — remembers your light / dark / system preference. Persistent, expires when you clear it.
- Session cookies — issued by our server only when you submit a form, to prevent duplicate submissions. They expire when you close the browser.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies on this site.
05Sharing & vendors
Your information is shared only with vendors who help us run the business, under written data-processing agreements:
- Our email provider, to deliver transactional and newsletter email.
- Our hosting provider, for infrastructure running the site.
- Our accounting provider, where an engagement is invoiced.
We do not transfer your data to jurisdictions with weaker protection than Nigeria's NDPR without your informed consent.
06Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act and the NDPR, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your data (where we are not legally required to keep it).
- Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
We respond to these requests within 30 days. To exercise any of them, email [email protected].
07Retention
Enquiries are kept for 24 months after the last contact, then deleted. Client engagement records are kept for seven years to meet tax and audit requirements, then deleted. Newsletter subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe.
08Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data — TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive records, role-based access, and a short list of staff with production credentials. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will notify you in line with applicable law.
